Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail
Connecting the trails with the rails, the Cynwyd Heritage Trail offers something for everyone. Which is exactly what’s motivating this awesome nonprofit organization to do their part in maintaining them.
Their mission is simple but vital: to support the design, construction, maintenance, and community involvement in the Trail. If you’d like to help, they offer several volunteer opportunities. Sponsored by the Lower Merion Township, workdays are held monthly and consists of cleaning the area of debris and invasive plants.
Besides giving your time, Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail also require assistance in event planning, public communications, and much more. If you are interested, contact them via the email provided on their website.

Independence Beer Garden
Good times and refreshing brews await at Philadelphia’s Independence Beer Garden.
This 20,00 square-foot all-American venue is a great place to relax on warm summer nights while marveling at the scenic views of both the Liberty Bell and Independence National Historic Park. Take in the sights while sipping on one of their delicious brews, such as the Yards Philadelphia Pale Ale, Free Will Mango Wheat, Sam Adams ’76, or Yuengling Lager.

The Rail Park
A unique and beautifying Philadelphia spot, The Rail Park took three miles of unused rail lines into a welcoming outdoor space for all.
Pet-friendly, free, and open to the public daily, The Rail Park consists of three sections: The Tunnel, The Cut, and The Viaduct. Relax with a book on one of their bench swings as you take in gorgeous skyline views of the city. The park also offers a wheelchair accessible entrance, allowing even more of the Philadelphia community to enjoy the parks beauty.
Furthermore, there’s always something fun happening here at The Rail Park! Some awesome past events have included a BYOB (bring your own blanket) party under the stars, a Planted Pop-Up and Plant Swap, and the Oscillation Transia Film Festival.
